InforBio (formerly ARTbio) is the bioinformatics platform of the Institut de Biologie Paris Seine, a 600-member research institute located on the Jussieu campus of Sorbonne University. Its mission is to support researchers in analyzing biological and medical data by leveraging state-of-the-art bioinformatics tools and methodologies. The platform operates through three main pillars: data analysis (analysis services, collaborative projects), analytical skill transfer (individual or group training sessions, data analysis clinics), and tool development (creation of tools, workflows, analysis environments, storage solutions, etc.). The platform is open to all researchers and teams working in biology or medicine.

Expertise

We have a core expertise in high throughput sequencing approaches (genomics, epigenomics, and transcriptomics). We use up-to-date bioinformatic pipelines, machine learning and statistical approaches to tackle the wide variety of applications of our users (e.g. developmental biology, cancer, neuroscience, plant physiology).

We are currently focusing on single-cell transcriptomics analyses including the latest spatial approaches.

We ensure project quality by using the FAIR guidelines.

Equipments

The informatics structure of InforBio platform hosts storage services with over 1Po of capacity and web services : Mississippi Galaxy public server as well as Galaxy, Rstudio and Jupyterhub servers dedicated to InforBio projects.

• Metavisitor, suite of Galaxy tools for simple and rapid detection and discovery of viruses in deep sequence data
• GalaxyKickStart, an Ansible playbook for automated deployment of Galaxy servers
• Galaxy tools and workflows are in open access in our GitHub repository as well as in the main galaxy toolshed
