The Ocean Gene Atlas v2.0 (OGA2) website provides a user-friendly interface to identify and geolocate homologous sequences from the marine environment using a nucleic acid or protein sequence query. The updates are described in “The Ocean Gene Atlas v2.0: online exploration of the biogeography and phylogeny of plankton genes. Nucleic Acids Research, doi:10.1093/nar/gkac420. They consist of “the integration of six datasets from the sequencing efforts of the Tara Oceans and Malaspina consortia, and new tools to quantitatively explore genes of interest in relation to the global ocean ecosystem. A user manual for the latest version is available online on the OGA2 server.
