The privacy policy below details personal data collected by the France Génomique website and by the services to which the site provides access. It explains why we collect data from you, how they are processed and how they are stored securely.

For its public website, France Génomique tries to ensure that the information provided is up-to-date and accurate. As the content of the site is non-contractual, it may be modified without prior notice. The CEA cannot, under any circumstances, be held accountable for the nature of the information.

Hypertext links from sites outside France Génomique that point to the sites of the other platforms of the network and to external resources are not under the control of France Génomique, which consequently declines all responsibility for their content.

When browsing the public website, the following information are recorded by our server: browser, operating system, IP address, date and time of visit, pages visited and amount of data transferred. These data are stored in the apache server logs.

Personal data are collected for:

  • the dissemination of announcements/information internal to France Genomique and its network of platforms
  • the dissemination of training or employment applications
  • the adequacy between a submitted project and the platform that  will be committed to its completion
  • the follow-up for the launch of production
  • dissemination of requests for collaboration

There is no privacy information but only session cookies, to link the user to his account.

In accordance with the French law “informatique et libertés” of January 6, 1978, modified in 2004, any person has the right to access and rectify any information of concern, by sending an email to the contact address of France Génomique (www.france-genomique.org/contact/?lang=en). Legal basis for data processing :

The data processing is necessary for the accomplishment of a mission of public interest: scientific and technical support and the completion of a convention (service, collaboration for a sequencing project).

Data are collected on registration forms that ask for the name, email address and details of the project, request or challenge submitted.

The data collected are used to send emails and to create statistics on project submissions (no profiling is done). They are processed automatically when an account is created with the registration form.

Personal data are accessible to the France Genomique management team, the web master and the hosting IT support team. The platform managers have access to the surnames, first names, units, contact details when an order is placed with their platform, in view to contact the project leader.

Data are used to monitor suspicious activities (e.g. site hacking attempts), to diagnose problems on the site.

The data collected will be kept for 10 years (legal conservation) and stored on a dedicated server.
