Bio-informatic platform of the Institut Curie of Paris (CUBIC)
Activities
The Institut Curie’s Bioinformatics Platform is staffed by around twenty bioinformaticians, biostatisticians and software engineers, who offer multidisciplinary expertise and support the Curie Core Tech biotechnology platforms, as well as the research units and the hospital in their day-to-day activities. Our skills cover data management and analysis, software development and scientific computing. We have five main missions: (1) data and knowledge integration, (2) collaborative support to biologists and clinicians for bioinformatics and biostatistics data analysis, (4) scientific computing support and (5) coordination of bioinformatics activities within the Institut Curie.
Expertise
- Bioinformatics and biostatistical analysis of omics and clinical data obtained from high-throughput technologies such as high-throughput sequencing, single-cell approaches, mass spectrometry and cellular phenotyping.
- Development, maintenance and management of bioinformatics pipelines for processing data produced by biotechnology platforms, including quality control and initial analysis.
- Implementation of an information system for data and knowledge sharing, data querying, visualisation and analysis of biomedical data.
- Research and development of new biostatistical/IA methods and bioinformatics tools.
- Support for scientific computing, optimisation of bioinformatics pipelines
