Beneficial macrophages in breast cancer

According to research carried out in collaboration with the France Genomics Institut Curie Genomics of Excellence Platform, the presence of macrophages around breast cancer is not necessarily a bad sign, in contrast to current consensus. Biologists reveal a new population of macrophages that is associated to better prognosis for breast cancer patients. These results were published in the journal Cell on March 23, 2022.
