MICROSPLICOTHER

MSI (Microsatellite Instability) tumours are frequent neoplasms that develop through specific molecular pathways. Mutations affecting long polypyrimidine DNA tracts located at the 3’ end of introns constitute frequent events sometimes resulting in either exon skipping or intron retention. The aim of this project is to decipher the splicing aberrations due to MSI in gastrointestinal tumours to find out new specific therapeutic targets which is an important unmet medical need.
